Case Studies – Efficiencies and Continuous Improvement
RossJuliaRoss has a track record of being highly proficient and proactive in developing cost reduction and business efficiency strategies for our contracted clients. Our organisation-wide philosophy in building the business has been one of always providing cost-conscious, value for money service. We believe we provide an excellent service, at lower cost than others charge for a lesser service. The success of our business has been built on this approach and the fact that we deliver speaks for itself in the way our business has grown.
Case Study Three - Procedure/Specification Rationalisation – Major Bank
In this client, our consolidated Timesheets procedures saw us rationalise the transactional noise from an invoicing perspective to the client. We were able to reduce our invoices volume by more than 33% with one requisition being required by the bank for payment. Payment turnaround time reduced to 3 working days of invoice receipt.
By holding a number of workshops with both our own staff and the clients (via conclusive round table meetings), we streamlined all processes and added value to our client in the following ways:
- providing an on-site consultant to regulate the processes;
- establishing an appraisal/Survey framework that suits the requirements of the Bank;
- providing OHS&E Induction training/support for all new temporaries;
- regulating tempcare to ensure new service deliverables are being achieved from a candidate perspective;
- measuring and monitoring weekly spend and providing weekly (MTD) and monthly (YTD) consolidated reporting; and
- measuring and monitoring weekly performance measures (MTD) and monthly (YTD) which has become a work in progress in the form of quarterly review.
We also standardised the working hours for the whole Operations area to ensure temporaries understood the “roster” expectation and the pay period and team leaders knowing the boundaries of the awards and becoming accountable for hours signed off to avoid overtime.
