October 2008 Welcome to the first unprinted edition of RossNews! Over the years that we've been sharing thoughts, updates and concepts in HR, Consulting and Recruitment with you through RossNews, we have had very positive feedback on our printed newsletter. However, earlier this year RossJuliaRoss decided to seek "green accreditation" through an independent accreditation agency and as part of that, we are now managing electronically, as many of our communications with clients, candidates, shareholders and employees, as possible. No other listed corporation in Australia has achieved Green Accreditation - it is our aim to be the first. For those communications that must be in hard copy, we have switched to 100% use of recycled paper through the organisation. Our employee work-from-home opportunities have been expanded and business-air travel very substantially reduced to help lessen our contribution to transport emissions; and we are encouraging our locations to purchase green power where possible. This is just the beginning because we recognise that apart from the sheer importance of doing the right thing by operating sustainably, there are many risk-management reasons to pursue accreditation.
